The Rev. B.H. Hester was the pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) in Fredericksburg, VA, from 1922 through 1961.  This large-format. lavishly, illustrated, 64-page book documents his courageous social activism event in some very difficult decades. The story is told by his granddaughter, retired U.S. ambassador Pamela E. Bridgewater. Gather in historic Market Square from 11am – 2pm to listen to African storyteller Baba Jamal Koram, view a dance performance from the D.C. area’s Taratibu Youth Association. Immediately after the performances, join us for dance lessons, drumming activities and make and take crafts.
