A picture might be worth a thousand words, but images of recovery from mental illness transcend any lexicon. For 15 years, the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board has showcased art that goes beyond language to offer a precious glimpse of the journey to recovery. Kenmore is excited to be participate in Fredericksburg First Friday! Jump on the free trolley and stop by Kenmore! See an exhibit by a local artist in the Crowninshield Museum building, just to the left of the front gate. Tour the gallery to see Kenmore's art collection, displays of eighteenth-century furniture, and decorative arts. The Kenmore mansion will be closed to tours.

LibertyTown Arts Workshop

First Friday reception from 5pm-9pm. The show runs all month. The gallery is open daily from 10am-8-pm, and 10-6pm on Sundays. LibertyTown Arts Workshop is a 13,000 square foot gallery with nearly 60 local craftspeople and artists. Here our artists create and show right on site in 27+ active studio spaces. We have potters, wood workers, welders, blacksmiths, oil painters, pastel artists, water colorists, and fiber art.

Each month we participate in Fredericksburg First Friday which is a local event supporting local studios and galleries around downtown Fredericksburg. Jump on the free trolley and stop by Darbytown. We will be open the first Friday of each month from 6-9pm throughout the year. Come for refreshments, art, friends and always good conversation. This is your chance to meet the artists in person, ask questions about styles and techniques and of course purchase art.
